Refuse Collection

All refuse, recycling, and yard waste questions and concerns should be directed to Canton Waste Recycling (CWR) at 734/397-5801. If after speaking to Canton Waste Recycling your concern is not resolved, please call Public Works at 734/397-1011 ext 0.

CWR is open on scheduled Fridays from 10 am - 4 pm and scheduled Saturdays from 8 - 11 am for recycling (plastics, paper, cardboard, tin, glass, oil, paint--limit 5, one-gallon containers, antifreeze, batteries) and Canton Clean-up.

Please prepare all materials properly for speedy, efficient pickup. Proper packaging will help to cut costs to residents and reduce injury to the sanitation workers. Thank you for your cooperation.

Single Stream Recycling  Recycle
Canton Waste Recycling now offers single stream curbside recycling (SSR) to all residents. SSR is more efficient and allows residents to recycle more products with less effort. Canton would like to thank all residents for helping to conserve our precious natural resources.

Recycle Bins
Can be purchased at the Canton Treasurer's office located on the first floor of the Canton Administration Building.

Curbside Pickup of Residential Yard Waste
Begins the first full week in April and continues until the first week of December. All yard waste should be placed separately from your trash and recyclables on your regular trash day.

Thank you for your help and participation in making Canton's curbside recycling and yard waste program a success!
