2015 Road Projects:

MDOT Projects

Ford/I-275 Operational Improvements 

Various improvements to Ford Road (M-153) between Haggerty Road & Lotz Roads, improvements & re-paving of the on- & off-ramps, extension of eastbound right-turn lane at Ford & Haggerty, and installation of pedestrian/bike pathways. Mostly complete as of 9/15/15.

MDOT Long Range Transportation Plan

MDOT is seeking public comment on their long range transportation plan from residents and business owners. The input is part of their Public Involvement Plan (PIP) and all comments are due by the end of September. Wayne County Projects

Lotz Road Paving, Cherry Hill to Ford:

The bid to construct this project was awarded in August. Wayne County anticipates construction to begin sometime in late 2015 with the majority of the work to occur in 2016. This project consists of grade establishment and installation of 3-lane concrete paving section on Lotz Road from Cherry Hill Road to Ford Road (M-153).

Beck Road Paving, Warren to Ann Arbor Trail:

This project is on track and completion is likely to be done by the end of 2015. This project consists of re-constructing Beck Road from Warren Road to Joy Road to a 3-lane concrete road and re-paving of Beck Road north of Joy.

Cherry Hill Road Re-construction, Beck to Canton Center:

Complete re-construction and widening of Cherry Hill Road from Beck to Canton Center, including a continuous center turn lane, improvements and new entrances for the two new schools, and installation of two new traffic signals at two of the new school entrances, and improvements at both intersections, Beck & Cherry Hill and Canton Center & Cherry Hill. Mostly completed as of 9/15/15.

Geddes Road:

Re-paving, Denton to County Line. Re-surfacing to the one-mile segment of Geddes Road. Completed as of 10/27/15.

Lilley Road:

Various road repairs to Lilley Road from Warren Road to Joy Road. Completed as of 9/15/15.
