New Canton Residents/Change of address

• You can make your voter registration change at either the Clerk's office or any Michigan Secretary of State branch office.

Picture ID Required to vote

Michigan law now requires each voter present an acceptable form of picture identification. A ballot CANNOT be issued unless a voter provides an acceptable form of picture identification or signs an affidavit which affirms the voter is not in possession of an acceptable form of identification and wishes to vote.

Acceptable forms of Identification include:

• Drivers License or Personal Identification Card
• Federal or State Governmental Photo Identification Card
• Valid US Passport or Valid Passport Card
• Military Photo Identification Card
• Student Identification with photo from high school or an accredited institution of higher education
• Tribal Photo Identification Card
