As a reminder, Canton’s ninth annual Home Improvement Expo will be held next weekend on Saturday, March 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Canton’s Summit on the Park. This year’s Expo is going "green" with energy saving ideas and eco-friendly displays.
Other highlights at this year’s Expo include; free parking and refreshments; live broadcasts form special guest stars Murray Gula, Host of "Your Home with Murray Gula" on 1130 WDFN and Joe Gagnon "The Appliance Doctor" from 1600 WAAM; how-to workshops on a variety topics from landscaping to installing brick pavers as well as a live demonstration on Michigan’s Solar Energy by Mechanical Energy Systems; a hands-on children’s’ project center; multiple raffles throughout the weekend, including wood projects made by Canton Construction along with the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters; and a live broadcast of 104.3 WOMC’s ‘Sunday Brunch’ with Chris Edmonds and Stacey DuFord on March 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to the above mentioned highlights, Rapid Roofing will give-away a free roof to one lucky Expo attendee. In order to win the free roof, fill out a raffle ticket at Rapid Roofing’s exhibitor booth before 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 7. The first place winner will receive a complete roof package while the second place winner will receive free roof shingles.
If you plan on attending this year’s Expo, make sure you stop by a welcome station and pick up a free Expo Advertisement Booklet. The booklet is filled with vendor coupons, a map of the show, workshop schedules and several environmentally friendly home improvement tips. All Expo attendees will also receive a free, reusable canvas bag. If you attended last year’s event and still have your bag, make sure you reuse it for this year’s event. The first 100 people to reuse last year’s bag will receive a free day pass to Canton’s Summit on the Park.
