CWR is open on scheduled Fridays (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Saturdays (8 a.m. to 11a.m.) for recycling (plastics, paper, cardboard, tin, glass, oil, paint -limit 5 one gallon containers, antifreeze, batteries) and Canton Clean-up.
All trash, recycling, and compost questions and concerns should be directed to Canton Waste Recycling.
Please prepare all materials properly for speedy, efficient pickup. Proper packaging will help to cut costs to residents and reduce injury to the sanitation workers. Thank you for your cooperation.
Single Stream Recycling
Canton Waste Recycling now offers single stream curbside recycling (SSR) to all residents. SSR is more efficient and allows residents to recycle more products with less effort.
Canton would like to thank all residents for helping to conserve our precious natural resources.

Used motor oil can be taken to:

Can be purchased at the Canton Treasurer's office located on the first floor of the Canton Admininistration Building.
Curbside Pickup of Residential Yard Yaste
Begins the first week in April and continues until December.
All yard waste should be placed separate from your trash and recyclables on your regular trash day.
Holiday Pick-up
Refuse collection is not scheduled on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
If your collection day falls on or after the holiday, your pickup will be delayed one day that week unless that holiday occurs on a weekend. In that event, normal pickup will apply.

- Sauk Trail Hills: Corner of Lilley and VanBorn Rds. Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday 7 - 11:30 a.m. Residents can drop rubbish directly at the landfill for a minimum charge. Please call Sauk Trail Hills landfill for fee information. 734/397-2791
