Catch Jymi Dill Singing Songs of Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis in Salute to the Great American Songbook

Canton, MI – January 26, 2010 Jymi Dill, a song stylist from Flint is one of the five featured vocalists that will be performing in the Salute to the Great American Songbook show slated at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill on Friday, February 12, 2010.

"The show started out to be a Salute to the Rat Pack show but when Jymi auditioned it was obvious he could do so much more than Sammy Davis," stated the show’s producer and Canton resident, Kevin Brazell. "I changed the course of the show to highlight Jymi’s vast talent. His renditions of Nat King Cole songs are tremendous and he introduced me to Marcia Allen, a female vocalist also from Flint. She immediately impressed and became a part of the show, as well. The two will be doing a duet of the Cole classic Unforgettable," Brazell said.

Dill has performed in jazz clubs, supper clubs and country clubs from New York to Las Vegas but gets his greatest satisfaction performing in senior centers and elementary schools.

"I love to see the faces of seniors light up when I do some classic standards that take them back and I love to expose young students to this type of music. I get the students singing along with me for something other than top 40 or rap, that is when I know I’ve done something right," Dill said.

Other performers joining Dill and Allen in the show will be Gary Mazzola of Southgate, Chris Scarlett from Novi and Fowlerville resident Mario Messina.

Reserved seating tickets for the 8:00 p.m. show are priced at $20 with a five dollar discount available for seniors, youth and groups. Tickets can be purchased online at
