Canton's Butterfly Ball: Annual Daddy/Daughter Dance To Be Held At Summit On The Park

Canton, MI - January 14, 2013 - Dad's and daughters are invited to put on their dancing shoes and step out together for a fun Valentine's event at this year's Butterfly Ball: Annual Daddy/Daughter Dance. This special daddy and daughter date night will be held at the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway. Participants will make plenty of sweet memories that are sure to last a lifetime as they enjoy dancing, refreshments, a special butterfly souvenir, and the always dazzling balloon drop that caps off the festivities.

Dads and their special dates have three chances to attend this popular event.  Dances will be held on Friday, February 8 from 6:30 8:30 p.m. in the Summit's elegant Grand Ballroom and in the spacious Gymnasium on Saturday, February 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A special Saturday matinee dance has also been scheduled on Saturday, February 9 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Gymnasium, as an option for the early-to-bed crowd.

"The Daddy/Daughter Dance is a chance for fathers and daughters to dress up and enjoy a great evening together," said Jennifer Provenzano, Canton Recreation Specialist. "This event provides a great way for young ladies to strengthen their relationships with their fathers. We also encourage grandfathers, uncles, and other adult males who are father figures to take advantage of this opportunity to spend time with the special little ladies in their lives."

Keepsake photos and special face painting will be available for an additional cost. Semi-formal/dressy casual attire is recommended.  Pre-registration is required for this event and walk-ins will not be accepted.

Tickets are on sale now for residents and will go on sale for non-residents starting January 21, 2013. Ticket sales end for everyone on February 4, 2013. Ticket prices are $10 for residents and $13 for non-residents. Corsages can also be pre-ordered at the time of ticket purchase.  Please remember that both daddies and daughters require a ticket to attend. Guests should be advised that February 4, 2013 is the very last day that tickets can be purchased.
