The Canton Police Department maintains a small police Reserve Unit of volunteer officers who have met the requirements of the department and have completed a Police Reserve Officer Academy through Schoolcraft College. These Reserve Officers are citizens who are interested in contributing to a safer community through their volunteer efforts in the public safety arena.
Vacant positions available in the Reserve Unit are posted online by Canton's Human Resources Department.
