This prestigious award was presented to Superintendent Merritt at NASRO’s 29th Annual School Safety Conference, held in Pigeon Forge, TN.  The Safe School Leadership Award is presented to those individuals who are willing to support and further develop their School Resource Officer partnership, exemplify leadership, innovation, dedication and proactive measures to enhance the safety of their school community.

“Our Public Safety Department is grateful for her leadership, knowledge and expertise when addressing the safety and well-being of the students and staff of the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools,” Meier added.

The Plymouth-Canton Community School District covers 3 communities, consisting of more than 17,000 students attending class in 24 school buildings—including three high schools located on the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park campus.
