Police investigate and determine a threat to be non-credible at Canton Charter Academy today

October 29, 2018, Canton, MI – This afternoon the Canton Police Department was notified of a possible threat at the Canton Charter Academy, located at 49100 Ford Road.  As a precaution, school officials put the students on a preventative lockdown while police officers conducted an on-scene investigation.  

Following the investigation, the threat was determined to be non-credible and the preventative lockdown was lifted.      

The Canton Police Department thoroughly investigates all threats, placing emphasis on the safety and security of students and staff at all schools within the community.
