Professor Harold Hill arrives in River City, IA in 1912 to organize a “boy’s marching band” complete with instruments, uniforms and musical instruction! He meets Marion Paroo, the Librarian who is very skeptical of this shady salesman and rightly so! Along with the citizens of the town that include the Mayor and his wife, the barbershop singing school board, the ladies of the town and the teens and children, Prof. Hill convinces them of his musicianship and what ensues is both entertaining and provides a good learning lesson. A pure pleasure for the entire family!

‘For God's sake, let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of kings ...’ Richard II ascended England's throne at the age of 9. An intelligent and empathetic man, he is also feckless with royal power and, more importantly in the minds of his detractors, with the royal purse. When Richard seizes the land of a recently deceased relative, the noble followers of his cousin, Bolingbroke, decide to replace him. Directed by Artistic Director Janice L Blixt and starring Artistic Associate Robert Kauzlaric as Richard, this prequel to last year's epic Henry IV, is a clever and compelling tragedy and a brilliant clash of perfectly opposing characters and philosophies of kingship. Bard talk prior to 8/5/16 show at 7pm. Talk-Back with cast after shows on 8/7, 8/10, 8/13.
