Summit Annual Maintenance Shutdown
Beginning Monday, September 5 at Noon, the Summit on the Park will close for its Annual Maintenance Shutdown and will re-open on Saturday, September 10 at 6 a.m. For more information about this annual maintenance shutdown, contact the Summit front desk at 394-5460.

Calling All Seniors!
First Annual Canton Senior Games
A wide variety of events has been scheduled for Seniors interested in competing in the First Annual Canton Senior Games, which are scheduled to take place August 23-25. Canton Club 55+ will offer a selection of events in which seniors may compete in for a nominal fee for a chance to win in their age category.
- SportsTournaments: Golf, Pickleball, Tennis, Billiards
- Cards/Wii Games: Euchre, Mahjong, Pinochle, Will Bowling
- Field Games: Bean Bag Toss, Bocce Ball, Frisbee Toss, Softball Throw, Basketball Shot, Soccer Kick, Football Toss
Competitions will take place throughout Canton at: Pheasant Run Golf Club, Summit on the Park, Heritage Park, Freedom Park and Griffin Park. Register online by August 10th! For additional information, call the Canton Club 55+ front desk at 734/394-5485.
Annual Senior Golf Outing
Are you 55+ and like to golf? Then register for the Senior Golf Outing, which will take place at Pheasant Run Golf Club on Tuesday, August 23. Check in for this four person scramble begins at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Enjoy continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch at the Clubhouse and great prizes! Come as a foursome or a single. Golfers must register before August 17 at the Club 55+ enter Front Desk. Registration is $49 for residents and $54 for non-residents. Summer Concert Series
There's still time to join us for your weekly dose of fresh air, family, and friends! We encourage you to bring your blankets or folding chairs while you relax and enjoy the music on the amphitheater lawn.

2016 Championship Cardboard Boat Race
Saturday, August 6
It's still not too late enter the 2nd Annual Cardborad Boat Race, where both families and local businesses can compete in the the Summit's Aquatic Center. Build a boat and register in person at the event. Just arrive a few minutes earlier! Get as creative as possible with your boats designed out of only cardboard and duct tape. Each boat is judged by participants before the start of the race based on creativity of design. Then its off to the races, where participants jump in their boats and race from one end of the lap pool to the other. Trophies: Most Creative Boat, Fastest Boat Award and Titanic Award.
Family Field Day with a Movie in the Park
Friday, August 12
Join Canton Leisure Services near north pavilions in Heritage Park for this family health and wellness opportunity! We encourage the entire family to participate in our Canton Field Day events, even your grandparents! No pre-registration required, the $10 per family fee is paid on-site. Following the Family Field Day we will be playing "The Good Dinosaur" (Rated PG) in the park on the big screen. Food, snacks and popcorn will be sold on site. Even if you cannot make it out for the Field Day come for the movie - it is free!

Bartlett's Kids ClubThe Summit on the Park values our members, especially our kids! The Bartlett's Kids Club is free to Summit Members and provides monthly activities for our littlest members. To register for the Kids Club, visit the Bartlett's Kids Club page. Join us on August 20 from Noon- 1:30 pm to learn about bike safety with our friends from the Canton Public Safety Department. We will go over the rules and of course take a nice bike ride. In addition to our review of bike safety, we will also decorate our bikes and finish with a craft. Meet us at the Amphitheater August 20, 2016 at noon. Open swim to follow. Members: Free; Residents: $3; Non Residents: $4. Pre-registration is required.
Preschool Summer Camp Fun
