Winter Farmers Markets Return on February 26
The first of three monthly Winter Markets will be held on Sunday, February 26 in the Summit on the Park's Banquet Lobby. Additional markets are also scheduled for March 19 and April 23 at the Summit; all with special winter market hours from 10 am - 2 pm. Over a dozen local vendors will be featured at the Market.Attention Seniors Age 55+!The Canton Farmers Market was recently awarded a grant to launch its Healthy Food Connect: Canton program to help better connect Canton area seniors to fresh, nutritious, local food. Interested seniors may schedule an orientation with the market staff to receive a one-on-one tour of the Farmers Market and information about the food assistance programs currently accepted at the markets. The first 300 Healthy Food Connect participants to attend a scheduled orientation will receive $5 in Market Bucks to purchase eligible food products at the market. Monthly drawings for prizes will also be held for those who attend the market, so be sure to check in with the market staff each time you attend! In addition, the Canton Farmers Market will have weekly cooking demonstrations. Recipe cards will also be available so you can recreate each culinary masterpiece at home! In addition, the Canton Farmers Market is partnering with Huron Valley Ambulance (HVA) to provide FREE transportation for qualifying individuals to and from our upcoming winter and regular season markets. This month, Bartlett's Kids Club
members can enjoy taking part in a "Paint and Take" event, where we have planned a "Picture Perfect" day for you. Together all families will each make their very own painting. They say "a picture is worth a thousand words" and we agree. These memories of working on a special project will last a lifetime. In addition, refreshments will be provided, including sandwiches from Jimmy John's of Canton.
Join us and be sure to take advantage of the open swim that follows from 1:30-5:30 pm. This event is FREE for all Summit on the Park members, $3 per child for Canton residents, and $4 per child for non-residents. Pre-registration is required.

Open Swim Time Available During Mid Winter Break
What better way is there to beat those winter blues than to join us at the Summit Aquatic Center during a special Winter Break Open Swim time on February 21 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.? All pools, including the water slide, lazy river, and leisure pool, will be available for open swim activities. Bring the whole family for a splashing good time at the Summit!
Summit's Third Annual Indoor Triathlon Returns
Registration is currently underway for the 3rd annual 'Conquer the Summit' Indoor Triathlon that is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 19 starting at 7 a.m. Participants will complete a 10-minute heat in swimming, 30-minute heat in biking, and a 20-minute heat in running with 10-minute transition times between each event. Swimming will take place in the 25-yard lap pool. Biking will be held on upright stationary bikes. Running will be done on treadmills. Participants must provide their own swimsuit, swim caps, goggles, biking and running clothing. Registration fees are: $35 for Summit Members; $40 for Canton residents; and $45 for non-residents. may be just the place for you to make some money as well as space in your life. Hundreds of shoppers attended last year's sale, so don’t miss out on your chance to clear out all your house clutter and make some cash on Saturday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Summit on the Park.
Two sizes of booths are currently available for rent: 9 x 6 for $20 and a 10x10 for $25 (includes room for a rack that seller must provide). Rental includes use of 8 foot table and 2 chairs. Large item room will also be available on-site. Set up will take place on Friday, April 21 from 6-8 p.m. If your closets are bursting at the seams, our annual sale is just the solution that you are looking for.
