"Summit Shape Up for Summer" Membership Special

Are you looking for a short-term fitness center membership to get in shape for the summer? Then, be sure to take advantage of the Summit on the Park’s ‘Shape Up For Summer’ membership special and save! Mom to Mom Sale

April 22 from 8am-12pm
Looking for a few good deals on children's clothes, toys, and more?  Look no further!  The Summit on the Park will be hosting a Mom to Mom Sale in the gymnasium on April 22. Find over 65 booths featuring gently used baby and kids clothing, shoes, and everything for videos to car seats, baby bottles to raincoats, cribs to strollers in the gym from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. - all at a fraction of the cost if items were new! Check out all the "new-to-you" items available! Admission is $2 (8-9am), $1 (after 9am). Mark your calendars today!

Canton Farmers Market

Winter Market - April 23

The last Winter Market will be held on Sunday, April 23, in the Summit on the Park lobby, located at 46000 Summit Parkway.  Market hours are from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Over a dozen local vendors will be featured.

Community Connection Day

Area families with at-risk and special populations are invited to get know Canton Public Safety Officers during this FREE event on Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway.  Meet Canton and Plymouth first responders, including: Canton's Thin Blue Line, paramedics, firefighters and more.  Community Connection Day was created to help dispel fears and myths special populations may associate with lights, sirens, and uniformed public safety personnel.  The event will be very interactive and hands-on, allowing attendees the opportunity to look and sit in police and fire vehicles, as well as talk with police officers and firefighters. Refreshments will be available for purchase. This program is presented in partnership with Canton Public Safety, Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, and Canton Leisure Services. The event will feature fun giveaways and an expo area of resource-related vendors and organizations including: Fat Wheels, Mt. Brighton Adaptive Ski, Autism Alliance of Michigan, and the Miracle League of Plymouth and more. This event is made possible because of the generous support of the following community sponsors: Building Bridges Therapy Center and Contemporary Dentistry. The Village Theater at Cherry Hill is currently accepting proposals for solo or group exhibitions for the 2018 exhibition season.  The deadline for submissions is April 12, 2017 at 2 p.m.  All media will be considered.

7th Annual Canton Acts of Culture Week

Canton will once again showcase arts and culture during the 7th annual Canton Acts of Culture Week will run April 29 – May 7, 2017.  This exciting week-long celebration, presented by the Canton Commission for Culture, Arts and Heritage, will feature a variety of cultural offerings available at various locations throughout Canton.  Community members are encouraged to “sample” the variety of events, including the following special presentations.
 
Bring the entire family to see the Michigan Philharmonic’s Youth Orchestra’s Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 2 at 7 p.m. at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill.  Tickets are $15 for adults and seniors and $5 for students.  Purchase yours today online at www.michiganphil.org or by phone by contacting the Michigan Philharmonic at 734/451-2112. 
 
Remember to bring your dancing shoes and enjoy a special evening featuring a variety of toe-tapping music as the Canton Concert Band presents “Let’s Dance,” on Saturday, May 6 at 7 p.m. at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill. Tickets are just $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and youth.

Free MLB Pitch, Hit and Run Competition

Canton Leisure Services is sponsoring a FREE Pitch, Hit and Run competition for girls and boys ages 7-14 on Monday, May 1 at the Canton Sports Center, located at 46555 W. Michigan Ave. Registration for this Baseball and Softball skills event will begin at 6 p.m. with the event scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m. No metal spikes are allowed. Bat and balls will be provided. Players will be competing in three contests: pitching, hitting and running the bases. First place will qualify to come on to the sectional competition.
