The Village Theater at Cherry Hill

The Village Theater at Cherry Hill's 2018 season offers something for everyone from
contemporary dance to treasured American classics in its 400-seat venue.

Happy New Year!

We can’t make the snow and ice disappear, but we can transport you magically to the summer of 1981 in New York City’s Central Park to hear Simon and Garfunkel’s classics like "Scarborough Fair," “Mrs. Robinson,” “Bridge over Troubled Water,” and “The Sound of Silence” - all sung by an amazing tribute band, Old Friends!

If you’re looking for real magic, we have magicians performances for the adults (January 19) and a special show for the kids (January 21).

If you want to be inspired by the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., please attend Canton Township’s annual moving tribute to Dr. King and his legacy.  See you at the VT!

THIS MONTH AT THE VILLAGE THEATER

THE GALLERY@VT:

Our January featured artist for the Gallery @VT is Ron DePentu.

Ron DePentu Retrospective Exhibition

Exhibition Dates:  Now through January 30, 2018

Personally, I exhibited widely in the New York State area, won Best in Show awards, Purchase Award at the NY State Fair, and have works in Syracuse, Niagara Falls, Oswego, Rochester, Jefferson Country Community College of New York, and have works in Michigan, Florida, Virginia, Utah and California.

In the past, my work tended to be quite traditional.  Presently I find working in a non-traditional manner, utilizing materials I previously never imagined using, more challenging and satisfying as the completed work is never quite predictable; therefore, adding a bit of personal excitement at the completion of a project.  It also allows for utilization of basic skills while at the same time being inventive.

When two of the most creative guys in magic get together, you are in for a special night. This show is funny and amazing and will leave you saying ‘What!’ Material is written, invented, and performed by George Tait and Keith Fields.

George Tait is a Detroit native and has been seen with two of the largest touring magic shows to date, Masters of Illusion Live, and behind the scenes on The Illusionists. His performance is a mix of conjuring techniques with a dash of subtle psychology. He’s also worked with A & E, NBC and the CW network. Tait has also performed for music groups like Metallica & Seven Dust. He also gives his Critical Thinking presentation for colleges around the US. Keith Fields is a man of mystery with a flair for the funny. One minute you will be laughing your socks off, the next you will be wondering how he does it! Run time: 7:30-8:40 p.m. Rated PG-13. Biltmore Studio.

More than just a performer, Mario is also an inventor who creates his own props. He is known for his dedication to the Maker Movement and STEAM initiatives and his integration of DIY electronics and robotics into his performance. Mario is an award-winning performer with over a decade of full time experience performing for family audiences.
