The Village Theater at Cherry Hill, located at 50400 Cherry Hill Road, Canton, MI 48187, is a regional center for the arts that is home for several cultural organizations and community groups. 

Village Theater Ushers Wanted
The Village Theater at Cherry Hill is seeking new volunteer ushers for the 2018-19 theater season!  If you have ever wanted to work at a Performing Arts Center, or have a passion for the Arts, now is your chance to get involved in your community.

Mandatory training for new ushers will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 18 at 9:00 a.m.

Training for returning ushers will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 9 a.m. and Tuesday, July 14 at 6 p.m.

Training will be held at The Village Theater, 50400 Cherry Hill Rd.  All volunteers must be 18 years or age or older.

Artist Bio:
Jon Lange is a Michigan native and artist who has a passion for airbrushing, using acrylics, to create large scale canvas paintings.
 
Lange’s passion for airbrushing began in 1998 and he often works up to 9 hours a day when creating and perfecting the particular project he is working on.
 
Mr. Lange is a former art teacher, retiring from the Crestwood School District, after 37 years of service.  Originally from Trenton, MI, Lange received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern University and a Master of Science degree from Eastern University.
 
Lange has been a member of the Three Cities Art Club since 2014.  He currently resides with his wife of 33 years, Karen Lange, in Livonia.

A Village Theater extravaganza celebrating the 80s, featuring: food, drinks, and Square Pegz, one of Metro Detroit’s most popular 80’s cover band, and more! This talented group will cover the gambit of 80’s hits: Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Pat Benatar, The B-52’s, Blondie, Paula Abdul, Bananarama, The Go-Go’s, The Bangles, Salt-N-Pepa, Wham! – You name it, they will perform it live! Relive your Prom night as an adult the way you would have wanted to. 80s attire is strongly recommended. Prom themed events will take place throughout the night including a slow dance room, crowning of a prom king and queen and much more! One drink voucher for one complimentary beverage at the bar is included with the purchase of a ticket. This event is for ages 21+. Tickets: $30 (groups of four - $25 each)

Join us for a celebration of dance from performers ages 2 through adult, and with a variety of levels of experience including recreational, competitive, and pre-professional. This is a story of Lucy Marsden, who is the widow of the last surviving soldier of the Civil War. This is her story of the Civil War, family, and the South. For the last thirty years of his life, Lucy prompted her famous husband to tell his battle stories for visitors. But the play is also about the civil war on the domestic front in her own home. Lucy and Will fight the eternal male-female battle, which begins on their wedding night. Audiences will laugh, cry and be horrified as Lucy’s stories transport them to another time and another way of life. Rated PG.  Tickets: $16-$18
