    Please be advised that THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to wet and muddy conditions on the Lower Rouge Trailhead. For details, visit www.cantonfun.org. ========================================= American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day® (NTD) is a celebration of America’s magnificent Trail System, occurring annually on the first Saturday in Jun. Join us as Canton hits the trails at the Lower Rouge Trailhead! This special event will be held on Saturday, June 1 from 9am-12pm. Scheduled activities include: self-guided hiking along the beautiful Rouge River, educational displays and presentations by the Friends of the Rouge, Leave No Trace principles stations, recycling information, trail biking and runnin info and Make It Yourself trail mix station. This is a FREE family and pet-friendly event.

    After excelling high schooler Andrew Hoffman runs away from home to find freedom, his younger brother Finn, whose goal is to gain Andrew’s approval, accompanies Andrew on his quest for fulfillment through Ikea, the woods and themselves. Not a Camping Musical: A Story of Exploring and Brotherhood was written by Salem HS Seniors John Oatney and David Garvey over the span of a school year for the Arts Academy Capstone class at P-CEP. The class gives artistic students free reign to create art according to their passions. John and David decided, with their backgrounds in theatre, to write Not a Camping Musical.
